ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how balance problems in children may be related to issues with their inner ear and body control, known as vestibular function. The researchers want to find out if children aged 6 months to 10 years who have trouble with their balance or are not developing their motor skills on time might have vestibular dysfunction. The main idea is that if these problems are spotted early and treated with the help of a physiotherapist, it could help improve the child’s balance.
To participate, children must be between 6 months and 10 years old and show signs of delayed movement skills or have dizziness and balance issues. Parents will need to give written consent for their child to join the study. During the trial, participants will undergo various tests, including questionnaires, hearing checks, and assessments of their balance and posture. It's important to note that children with certain visual or medical conditions, such as severe eye problems or a history of head injuries, may not be eligible for the study. The trial has not started recruiting participants yet, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how early intervention can support children with balance issues.
