ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a program called "Smiling is Fun," which is designed to help people manage depression through an online self-help approach. The researchers want to find out if having telephone support while using this program leads to better outcomes for participants compared to using the program on their own without support. This is important because many people struggle with depression, and finding effective, accessible ways to help them is crucial, especially in primary care settings where resources can be limited.

To participate in this study, individuals need to be between 18 and 65 years old, be able to read and understand Spanish, and have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder. They should also have mild to moderate symptoms of depression and access to the internet at home. Participants will use the online program and may receive guidance through phone calls, and the goal is to see how well they do in managing their depression. This study aims to improve access to mental health support and develop resources that can help more people in the future.
