ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of combined kinetic chain exercises on improving muscle strength in patients with knee osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a condition that affects the joints, causing pain and stiffness. The research is being conducted at Cairo University and aims to help patients strengthen their hamstring and quadriceps muscles, which are important for knee function.
To be eligible for the study, participants should be between 38 and 65 years old, have been diagnosed with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis (grades 2 or 3), and experience knee pain most days of the month. Other key requirements include having a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 29.9. Unfortunately, individuals with certain conditions, such as neurological disorders or recent surgeries, cannot participate. Those who join the trial can expect to engage in specific exercises designed to help strengthen their knees, which may improve their overall mobility and reduce pain.
