ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether using virtual reality (VR) can help reduce anxiety for adults who are hospitalized. The researchers want to see if VR can distract patients and improve their mood and overall satisfaction during their hospital stay. The trial will include adult patients aged 18 to 99 who are being treated at Stanford Health Care and can speak English. However, some individuals may not be eligible to participate if they have serious cognitive issues, current nausea, vision problems that make VR difficult, a history of severe motion sickness, or other medical concerns that require immediate attention.
If you or a family member qualify for the study, you can expect to engage with virtual reality experiences designed to help ease anxiety while you are in the hospital. The trial is not yet recruiting participants, so there’s no need to take action just yet. This study aims to find new ways to support hospitalized patients and improve their comfort during their treatment.
