ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how thyroid eye disease affects the cells in the cornea, which is the clear front part of the eye. Researchers want to see if there is any damage to the corneal endothelial cell layer in patients with this condition. The study will use a special imaging technique called specular microscopy to take a closer look at these cells.
To participate in this trial, individuals must have been diagnosed with thyroid eye disease based on specific medical criteria. However, people with other serious health issues, such as diabetes, or those who have had prior eye surgeries, corneal diseases, eye injuries, or glaucoma, will not be eligible. The trial is currently not recruiting participants, and it aims to gather important information that could help improve the understanding and treatment of thyroid eye disease in the future.
