ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new exercise program designed to help men with prostate cancer improve their fitness and reduce their risk of heart disease. The program involves home-based exercise training, which means you can participate from the comfort of your own home. Participants will be compared to a group that receives education on healthy living over a period of 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the exercise program helps improve how well participants can exercise, measured by how far they can walk in six minutes and their overall fitness levels.
To be eligible for this trial, you need to be a man aged between 40 and 85 who has been diagnosed with stage II, III, or IV prostate cancer and is currently receiving hormone therapy. You'll also need to have completed any local treatments like surgery or radiation. It's important that you can use a computer or smartphone to join the program and that you're comfortable with being recorded during interviews. If you have any serious heart conditions or other health issues, you may not be able to participate. This trial is a great opportunity for eligible patients to engage in a supportive exercise program while contributing to important research.
