ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of a medication called Sildenafil Citrate, commonly known as Viagra, to see if it can help reduce bleeding during liver surgery (hepatectomy). Bleeding is a common problem during this type of surgery, and the trial aims to find out if taking Sildenafil before the operation can improve safety and outcomes for patients. The researchers want to learn how this medication affects blood flow and overall surgical results for patients undergoing either open or laparoscopic liver surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be between 18 and 85 years old, scheduled for liver surgery, and have a certain level of liver function. They should also be in reasonably good health, meaning they should not have severe heart or kidney problems, and must be willing to take part in the study. If you participate, you will be closely monitored throughout the trial, and your safety will be a top priority. This study could potentially lead to new ways to manage bleeding during liver surgery and improve care for patients like you.
