ClinConnect Summary
The CTNow trial is designed to help cancer patients in rural areas access clinical trials more easily. Clinical trials are research studies that explore new treatments and care approaches, and they can offer patients additional options for their cancer care. This program will provide education and resources to both patients and healthcare providers to improve understanding of these trials and how to get involved.
To be eligible for this study, patients need to be at least 18 years old and have a cancer diagnosis. They should either have received treatment, be currently receiving treatment, or be scheduled to start treatment within the next 90 days. It's important to note that only residents of Hawaii, Kauai, or Maui counties can participate, and those who have previously taken part in a cancer clinical trial are not eligible. While the study is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect support through educational materials and resources to help them understand clinical trials better.
