ClinConnect Summary
The Dual Diagnosis Training Trial is a research study designed to improve the skills of people who work in mental health care settings. Participants will take part in a 16-hour training program called SPECTROM, which aims to enhance their knowledge about managing mental health issues and dealing with challenging behaviors. Before and after the training, they will complete two assessments to measure what they have learned and how their attitudes have changed.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, fluent in English, and currently working in one of the three ARCA group homes or at the UNM psychiatric center. It’s important to note that the study materials are only available in English, so fluency is necessary. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and anyone who meets the criteria can expect to gain valuable skills that could help them in their roles within the mental health field.
