ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a treatment called epidural pulsed radiofrequency therapy for patients who continue to experience back pain after having surgery for a herniated disc. Some people with "failed back surgery syndrome" may have ongoing pain that is hard to manage, including sharp or burning sensations in their legs, which is known as neuropathic pain. The goal of this study is to see how well this therapy can help relieve that pain.
To participate in the trial, individuals must be between 18 and 80 years old and have had at least one surgery for lumbar disc herniation. They should also be experiencing pain that radiates down to their legs. However, people who have had different types of back surgeries, or have certain medical conditions like infections or mental health issues that might affect their ability to participate, won't be eligible. Participants in the trial can expect to receive the treatment and follow-up assessments to see how well it works for their pain.
