ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating how obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) might be connected to frequent nighttime urination, a condition known as nocturia. The study aims to understand whether people with OSA experience more nighttime trips to the bathroom compared to those without the condition. By participating, you can help researchers learn more about how these two issues may be related.
To be eligible for this study, you need to be between 65 and 74 years old and have a diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea with a specific level of severity (measured by the Apnea-Hypopnea Index). You also need to be able to keep a record of your bathroom visits and provide informed consent to participate. However, individuals who take certain medications (like diuretics), have cancer, or are pregnant cannot join. If you participate, you'll be asked to keep track of your urination patterns over a period of time, which will help researchers gather the information they need. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and your involvement could contribute to important findings about sleep and urinary health.
