ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking into how images of the optic nerve head (the part of the eye where the optic nerve connects) can help predict the progression of glaucoma, a common eye condition that can lead to vision loss. Researchers will take pictures of the optic nerve at two different eye pressures to see how much strain is present, which may provide important information about how the disease will develop in each patient.

To participate in this study, individuals must already have a diagnosis of glaucoma and be patients at Johns Hopkins. The trial is open to adults aged 65 to 87. However, some people may not be eligible, such as those who cannot undergo imaging for any reason or those who have difficulties with reading or hearing. Participants can expect to have their eye images taken and will contribute to important research that could improve understanding and treatment of glaucoma in the future.
