ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is investigating how effective telemonitoring can be in helping patients adjust to using home mechanical ventilation (HMV), which is a way to assist breathing at home. The study aims to see if adding this remote monitoring can help improve patients’ breathing problems more efficiently. It is open to adults aged 65 and older who have chronic breathing issues that require them to use this type of ventilation at home.

To participate, candidates must have a specific type of breathing failure that qualifies them for home mechanical ventilation, and they need to be able to understand and sign a consent form. However, people who are already on mechanical ventilation, pregnant, or have serious cognitive or psychiatric issues that could interfere with the study won't be eligible. Participants can expect to receive regular monitoring remotely, which may help their doctors manage their care more effectively. This is an exciting opportunity for patients looking for ways to improve their breathing and quality of life at home.
