ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at two different types of anesthesia for patients undergoing fundus surgery, which is a procedure related to the eye. The study will compare the effects of desflurane anesthesia mixed with remifentanil (a pain reliever) to another combination of sevoflurane anesthesia with remifentanil. The main goal is to understand how well patients recover after using desflurane and to help doctors make better choices about anesthesia in the future.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and healthy enough for surgery, with a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30. The surgery is expected to last about 30 to 120 minutes. However, certain health conditions, like severe heart or lung diseases, a history of asthma, or problems with drug or alcohol use, may prevent you from joining. If you decide to participate, you’ll be helping researchers learn more about how different anesthetics affect recovery, ultimately improving care for future patients.
