ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying a new method to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery, which are common issues many patients face. The researchers are testing a wearable device that sends gentle electrical signals to a specific point on the wrist, known as PC6, to see if it can help reduce these symptoms during the time surrounding surgery. The trial is currently looking for participants who are between 18 and 65 years old, are planning to have laparoscopic surgery (a minimally invasive surgery), and are in good overall health.

If you or a family member are interested in participating, you would need to be a female patient who can understand the study details and provide consent. Before enrolling, the study team will check to ensure there are no reasons, like infections or prior surgeries, that would prevent you from wearing the device. Participants in the trial can expect to wear the device during their surgery and recovery period, helping researchers learn more about its effectiveness in preventing nausea and vomiting after surgery.
