This clinical trial is studying two different methods of administering anesthesia to elderly patients during surgery. It compares ultrasound-assisted localization with real-time ultrasound-guided combined spinal-epidural anesthesia. To participate in this study, you need to be at least 60 years old and have a general health status classified as ASA Grade I to III, which means you should be in relatively good health. However, if you have severe obesity, spinal issues, allergies to local anesthetics, bleeding problems, or difficulties with communication, you may not be eligible. If you join, you can expect to receive one of the two anesthesia techniques while closely monitored by medical professionals. This research aims to improve anesthesia practices for elderly patients, making surgeries safer and more comfortable for them.

Eligibility criteria

  • Inclusion Criteria:
  • Elderly patients (≥ 60 years old);
  • ASA Grade I to III.
  • Exclusion Criteria:
  • Severe obesity (BMI\>35kg/m2);
  • Spinal deformity or surgical history;
  • Allergic to local anesthetics;
  • There are coagulation disorders;
  • Communication barriers
