ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different methods of preparing for a first vaginal examination can affect women’s feelings of anxiety, pain, and satisfaction. Researchers want to see if using a special drape and specially designed shorts can help make the experience more comfortable for women who are having this examination for the first time.
To be eligible to participate, women need to be at least 18 years old, able to read and speak Turkish, and must be having a vaginal examination for the first time. It's important that participants can communicate well and feel comfortable throughout the process. Those with certain health issues that might make communication difficult, or who have had a vaginal examination by someone else, won't be able to join the study. If women choose to take part, they can expect to answer some questions about their feelings before and after the examination to help researchers understand their experiences better.
