ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is exploring a new type of imaging technology called the J-PET scanner, which is designed to help doctors better diagnose certain conditions like prostate cancer and other related tumors. Unlike traditional PET scanners that use expensive materials, the J-PET scanner uses special plastic detectors, which could make it more accessible and cost-effective for hospitals. The study aims to see how well this new scanner works compared to existing methods and looks at a new measurement called the "positron biomarker" to see if it can provide useful information for diagnosis.

To participate in this trial, you need to be over 18 years old and referred for a PET scan by your doctor. If you decide to join, you'll be asked to give your consent and will undergo a PET scan using this new technology. However, pregnant or breastfeeding women and those with certain allergies to the imaging substances cannot take part. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it offers a chance to help advance cancer imaging techniques that may benefit many patients in the future.
