ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is looking at how a special set of guidelines called the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol can improve outcomes for patients undergoing a type of surgery called minimally invasive esophagectomy, which is used to treat esophageal cancer. The goal is to see if following these guidelines helps patients recover faster and have fewer complications after their surgery.

To participate in this trial, patients must be adults diagnosed with early to moderate esophageal cancer that hasn't spread to other parts of the body and who are suitable for the minimally invasive surgery. Unfortunately, people who have had previous thoracic or abdominal surgeries, have more severe health issues, or have other types of cancer won't be able to join. If eligible, participants can expect to follow the ERAS protocol, which includes specific steps for care before and after surgery to help them heal better. This study is currently not recruiting participants, but it aims to provide valuable insights into improving recovery for patients facing this type of surgery.
