ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the use of Virtual Reality (VR) to help children feel less pain and anxiety during ear exams and procedures at an ear, nose, and throat (ENT) clinic. Researchers want to see if using VR can distract kids while they are being treated, making the experience more comfortable for them. The trial is currently looking for participants aged 7 to 17 who will be undergoing a specific ear examination, which may involve some cleaning or other minor procedures.
To be eligible for this study, children should not have certain conditions, such as chronic pain disorders, developmental delays, neurological issues, or visual impairments. If your child joins the trial, they will get to use VR during their appointment, which may help reduce their discomfort and anxiety. Overall, this trial aims to find out if VR can make medical visits easier for young patients in the ENT setting.
