ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how physical performance, lung function, and muscle strength change in patients after they have heart surgery, specifically coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) or heart valve replacement. The researchers want to understand how these factors affect recovery in patients who are at risk for frailty and physical disabilities, which can make it harder for them to recover fully after surgery.
To participate, individuals must be 18 years or older and scheduled for elective heart surgery. They should not have any serious memory or movement problems that would hinder them from performing physical tests before and after the surgery. Participants can expect to undergo various assessments of their physical abilities and lung function during their recovery period. This study is currently recruiting participants, and both men and women are welcome to join. Your involvement could help improve understanding of recovery after heart surgery and contribute to better care for future patients.
