ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of two treatments for people suffering from chronic migraines, which are severe headaches that can last for a long time. The researchers want to see how effective a procedure called occipital nerve blockade is, where a local anesthetic is injected near a specific nerve at the back of the head, and another treatment called pulse radiofrequency, which uses heat to target the same nerve. The trial will involve participants receiving one of these treatments to help reduce their migraine pain.
To participate in this trial, you must be between 18 and 60 years old and have been diagnosed with chronic migraines. Unfortunately, if you are pregnant, have serious mental health issues, bleeding disorders, a local infection, or allergies to the treatment, you won't be eligible. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive either the nerve blockade or the radiofrequency treatment, and the goal is to find out which method helps with pain relief better. This study is currently looking for participants, and it could be a great opportunity for those seeking new ways to manage their chronic migraine symptoms.
