ClinConnect Summary
The SYSTEMS study is looking to better understand how our immune systems can sometimes malfunction, leading to a range of health issues like allergies, autoimmune diseases, and other immune-related conditions. Researchers in Sweden aim to create a valuable resource by collecting blood and stool samples from both individuals with these immune problems and healthy individuals for comparison. This will help scientists analyze how different immune responses can vary and how the gut microbiome might influence these conditions.
If you or a loved one is experiencing symptoms of immune dysregulation and have not found relief from standard treatments, you may be eligible to participate in this study, regardless of age. Participants will be asked to provide samples and will have their health data collected, which will contribute to a national database for researchers. This study hopes to improve our understanding of immune disorders, ultimately leading to better treatments and outcomes for those affected.
