ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is focused on understanding how inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which includes conditions like Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, can affect the kidneys and urinary system. Researchers aim to identify and classify different kidney and urinary problems that IBD patients may experience. The study will take place at Assist University Hospitals and is designed to help improve the care and treatment for these patients.

To participate in this trial, individuals must be diagnosed with IBD and have visited the hospital for treatment. The study is looking for 100 patients, regardless of age or gender, who do not have other known causes of kidney or urinary issues, such as diabetes or high blood pressure. While the trial is not yet recruiting participants, those who join can expect to undergo assessments that will help researchers better understand the relationship between IBD and kidney health. This research could lead to better management and treatment options for IBD patients facing kidney-related complications.
