ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to better manage fluid therapy in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery. Specifically, researchers want to see if a technique called a “lung recruitment maneuver” can help predict how well a patient's body will respond to fluids after surgery. This is important because giving the right amount of fluids can support recovery and improve outcomes. The trial is open to patients aged 18 to 80 who are scheduled for this type of surgery and have certain health criteria, such as a stable heart function.
If you or a family member are considering participating, you can expect to be monitored closely during the surgery and have some additional tests done to help understand how your body responds to fluids. However, certain health conditions, like severe lung or heart issues, may exclude someone from joining the study. Participation is completely voluntary, and you can choose not to take part if you prefer. This trial aims to enhance care for patients like you by finding better ways to manage fluids during and after surgery.
