ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is researching a new method called Endobronchial Ultrasound Transbronchial Cryobiopsy (EBUS-TBCB) to help doctors better understand certain enlarged lymph nodes in the chest area, known as mediastinal lymphadenopathies. These enlarged lymph nodes can be caused by different conditions, including infections or cancers. The goal of the study is to see how effective and safe this procedure is for patients who might have conditions like lymphoma, sarcoidosis, or tuberculosis.
To participate in this trial, patients must be at least 18 years old and have specific types of enlarged lymph nodes that are larger than 20 mm, as seen on a CT scan. They also need to have signs that suggest possible serious conditions, which can be confirmed by other tests like a PET scan. It’s important that participants can understand French and are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or under legal protection. Those who join the study can expect to undergo a procedure that aims to safely take samples from their lymph nodes to help diagnose their condition. This trial is still in the planning stage and has not yet started recruiting participants.
