ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how to improve the surgery and treatment of lung cancer by carefully examining and removing lymph nodes near the lungs. Lymph nodes are small glands that can help doctors understand if cancer has spread. The researchers believe that by using a new, standard method to take out these lymph nodes during surgery, they can find more of them and better stage the cancer. This means they can identify more patients who might benefit from additional treatments after surgery.
To be eligible for this trial, you must be an adult aged 18 or older with a lung nodule or mass that can be removed through a procedure called lobectomy. You should not have any signs of cancer spreading to other parts of the body and your lung nodule should be located on the outer parts of the lung, not the center. If you join this trial, you'll undergo surgery with this enhanced lymph node examination, which will help your doctors gather important information about your lung cancer and decide on the best follow-up care for you.
