ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how different protein and fiber-rich foods affect digestion and health in people at risk for type 2 diabetes. Researchers want to understand how these foods influence things like blood sugar levels and gut health after meals. They will be measuring various substances in the blood and stool to see how the body responds to these alternative proteins.
To join the study, participants need to be between 30 to 65 years old, have a body mass index (BMI) over 25 and under 35, and meet certain waist size measurements (over 85 cm for women and over 100 cm for men). However, people with certain chronic diseases, those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, on gluten-free or vegan diets, or have had recent surgeries or high alcohol consumption won't be eligible. If you participate, you can expect to contribute to important research that may help improve the health of those at risk for diabetes while also possibly learning more about your own health.
