ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of a juice made from Euterpe edulis, a type of palm fruit, on healthy men who exercise regularly. The researchers want to see if this juice can help improve physical and mental performance, reduce inflammation, aid muscle recovery, and increase muscle strength. The trial will involve a double-blind and randomized design, meaning that neither the participants nor the researchers will know who is receiving the juice and who is getting a placebo (a drink with no active ingredients) for ten days before the evaluations.
To be eligible for the trial, men aged 19 to 30 who have been exercising regularly for at least three months (at least 150 minutes a week) can apply. However, those who use certain performance-enhancing substances, have specific health conditions, or are smokers will not be included. Participants can expect to undergo physical tests, provide blood samples for analysis, and share their experiences and feelings about the supplementation. This trial is not yet recruiting, but it aims to provide valuable insights into how Euterpe edulis might support men’s physical fitness and overall well-being.
