ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring how creating a comfortable environment, using kangaroo care, and incorporating music therapy can help newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Kangaroo care involves holding the baby close to the parent's chest, which can provide warmth and comfort. The goal of this study is to see how these methods can improve the health and emotional well-being of premature infants and those facing other challenges.
To participate in the trial, newborns must be currently hospitalized in the NICU. Unfortunately, infants who are on breathing machines (intubated) or are not stable enough to participate will not be eligible. If eligible, parents can expect to be involved in caring for their baby through these supportive methods while the trial assesses the benefits of these interventions. This study aims to enhance the overall experience and health outcomes for vulnerable newborns.
