ClinConnect Summary
The Information Seeking Mesolimbic Engagement Study 2 is a clinical trial aimed at understanding how motivation works in the brain. In this study, participants will take part in a fun "treasure task" where they will learn to identify which keys open a treasure chest, and later, they will be tested on what they find inside. This study is currently recruiting participants aged 18 to 65 who are in good health and have at least 20/40 vision, either with or without glasses or contact lenses.
To participate, individuals cannot have a history of head injuries or certain central nervous system illnesses, and they must not be taking specific medications that could affect their alertness or blood flow. Additionally, participants should not smoke or drink coffee 30 minutes before testing, and they need to meet certain safety criteria for MRI scans, such as not having metal implants or weighing over 250 pounds. If you’re interested and meet these requirements, you could help researchers learn more about motivation while enjoying an engaging activity!
