ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at a program called the PACU Centric Enhanced Recovery After Cardiac Surgery (ERACS) to see how well it helps patients recover after heart surgery. Researchers have found that when doctors follow certain guidelines closely, patients tend to leave the hospital sooner and have fewer complications after surgery. However, it’s not always clear why some doctors don’t follow these guidelines as closely as they should. This study aims to understand how well the program is being followed and the impact it has on recovery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be someone who is part of the PACU Centric ERACS program during 2024 and is undergoing cardiac surgery. If you are transferred to the recovery unit but are waiting to go to the intensive care unit afterward, you won't be eligible for this study. If you join, you can expect to help researchers learn more about how to improve recovery for future patients, which could lead to better outcomes for everyone undergoing heart surgery.
