ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring a new treatment approach for women with borderline personality disorder (BPD) by combining a type of talk therapy called Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with a technique known as repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). DBT helps people learn skills to manage their emotions and improve relationships, while rTMS uses magnetic fields to stimulate specific areas of the brain. The goal of this study is to see if this combination can help improve symptoms and create lasting positive changes for those affected by BPD.
To participate in the trial, women aged 16 and older who have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder according to specific guidelines can apply. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as neurological disorders or severe mental illnesses, will not be eligible. Participants can expect to receive both DBT and rTMS treatments during the study and will be closely monitored throughout the process. This research is currently recruiting, and it's an opportunity for eligible individuals to potentially benefit from an innovative approach to managing their condition.
