ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how pelvic reconstructive surgery affects lower urinary tract symptoms in women who have advanced pelvic organ prolapse (POP). Pelvic organ prolapse happens when pelvic organs, like the uterus, drop from their normal position, which can lead to a variety of urinary problems. The trial will collect information from women before and after their surgery, including details about their age, urinary issues, and experiences with leakage or urgency. After the surgery, participants will complete a follow-up questionnaire to help researchers understand how their symptoms have changed.
To be eligible for this study, women need to be at least 18 years old and diagnosed with a significant level of pelvic organ prolapse that requires surgical repair. They should be willing to sign consent and follow the study guidelines. However, women who have had certain other surgeries for incontinence, have current urinary infections, or specific bladder conditions will not be included. Participants can expect to share their experiences openly and receive support throughout the study, contributing to important research that could help improve care for others facing similar issues.
