ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is designed to find new ways to help people who have recently quit smoking stay smoke-free. Researchers want to see if a special program created for smoking cessation counselors can effectively support ex-smokers in avoiding relapse, or going back to smoking. The study will look at whether this program is easy to use and accepted by both the ex-smokers and the counselors. They will also check if it helps more people stay off cigarettes compared to traditional methods. If the program shows promise, it could lead to a larger study in the future.

To join the study, participants must be at least 18 years old and have stopped smoking for at least a week after having used cigarettes regularly in the past year. They should be able to communicate in Chinese and not have serious health issues that would prevent participation. Counselors from specific local clinics will also be involved in delivering the program. Participants can expect to work closely with trained counselors who will guide them through this new approach to staying smoke-free.
