ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying the effects of adding a specific type of training, called change of direction (COD) training, to an existing injury prevention program for soccer players known as FIFA 11+. The goal is to see if this additional training can help improve the performance of soccer players and reduce the risk of knee injuries, especially those related to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). The researchers are particularly looking at the knee position during certain movements, as a poor knee angle can increase the risk of injury.
To participate in this trial, you need to be a soccer player between the ages of 16 and 35. However, if you've had serious injuries like an ACL tear or surgeries related to your lower limbs, or if you're currently dealing with any injuries, you won't be eligible. If you join the study, you can expect to take part in training sessions that include the FIFA 11+ program and the additional COD exercises. This trial is currently recruiting participants, so it’s a great opportunity for soccer players looking to improve their skills and reduce their injury risk!
