ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is exploring whether virtual reality (VR) can help improve symptoms for people experiencing non-cardiac chest pain (NCCP), which is chest pain that isn't caused by heart issues. The study is currently recruiting participants aged between 65 and 74 who have had chest pain that feels similar to angina but has been confirmed not to be related to heart problems through tests like an electrocardiogram. To join the trial, participants must also have had certain tests to rule out severe digestive issues.
If you qualify and choose to participate, you will use a VR headset during the study sessions, which will be designed to help reduce your chest pain symptoms. It’s important to note that individuals currently taking certain medications for stomach issues, have significant other health problems, or experience dizziness that could make using the VR headset difficult will not be able to participate. This trial aims to find out if this innovative approach can bring relief to those suffering from NCCP.
