ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how effective different types of nerve blocks are for managing pain during and after shoulder arthroscopy, a type of surgery on the shoulder. Specifically, it compares a combination of two nerve blocks (suprascapular and supraclavicular) with a single nerve block called the interscalene block. The researchers want to see which method provides better pain relief and requires fewer pain medications after the surgery.
To participate in this trial, you need to be at least 18 years old and scheduled for elective shoulder surgery under general anesthesia with a nerve block. However, some people may not be eligible, such as those with certain heart conditions, serious health issues, or specific allergies. If you join the trial, you can expect to receive one of the two nerve block techniques and will be monitored for your pain levels and any medications you might need after the surgery. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to ensure that patients have the best possible experience with pain management during their recovery.
