ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new smartphone program designed to help adult burn patients manage their recovery after leaving the hospital. The focus is on teaching patients how to take charge of their own healing process, which can lead to better health, less pain, and an overall improvement in their quality of life. Researchers believe that by using this program, patients will feel more confident in managing their care and that this will help them recover more effectively.
To participate in the trial, you need to be an adult over 18 years old who has been hospitalized for burns and speaks Cantonese. The trial is looking for patients with certain types of burns, specifically those that cover at least 10% of the body surface for superficial burns, or more than 5% for deeper burns. Participants will receive additional support through face-to-face education sessions and follow-up calls after they leave the hospital, along with access to resources through a smartphone app. This trial aims to provide tools and knowledge to help burn patients navigate their recovery journey successfully.
