ClinConnect Summary
The ROAMM-EHR Study is looking at how using mobile health apps can help older patients who are having surgery for a serious condition called chronic limb-threatening ischemia. This condition means that blood flow to the legs is severely reduced, which can lead to pain or even the need for amputation. The goal of the study is to see if collecting health information from patients through these apps can help doctors monitor their recovery better and improve their mobility and quality of life after surgery.
To participate in this study, you need to be at least 60 years old and scheduled for a type of surgery called re-vascularization, which helps restore blood flow. However, some people may not be eligible if they are at high risk for complications, have severe hearing or vision problems, or other serious health issues. If you join the study, you can expect to share your health information through the app, which will help your healthcare team assist you in your recovery. This study is currently recruiting participants, and both men and women are welcome to apply.
