ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating a new treatment using virtual reality to help people recover from a condition called unilateral spatial neglect, which can happen after a stroke. This condition makes it difficult for individuals to pay attention to one side of their surroundings. The researchers believe that by using virtual reality exercises, participants will improve their ability to explore and notice things on the affected side.
To take part in this study, participants must be between the ages of 65 and 74 or 29 and 219 days post-stroke. They need to have had a stroke that affected only one side of the brain and show clear signs of spatial neglect. Participants should be able to sit up and turn their heads, and their mental state must be good enough to understand the study. Those with certain other health issues, like multiple strokes or serious visual problems, won’t be eligible. If you join the trial, you’ll engage in exercises in a virtual environment designed to help improve your attention and awareness, and the researchers will measure your progress over time.
