Stroke Trigger Acute Ischaemic Stroke

ClinConnect Summary

This clinical trial is studying the triggers that can lead to acute ischemic stroke caused by large blood vessel blockages. Acute ischemic stroke is a serious condition that can cause significant health problems, and understanding what triggers these strokes in the days or weeks before they happen is important for prevention. In this study, researchers will ask participants about different factors they may have been exposed to in the past year, such as infections, mood changes, smoking, drinking alcohol, and more, to see how these might increase the risk of having a stroke.

To be eligible for this trial, participants need to be at least 18 years old and have a confirmed diagnosis of large vessel occlusion based on imaging tests. They should not have severe bleeding issues, major organ problems, or other serious health conditions that would make participation unsafe. If someone joins the study, they will be asked questions about their health and lifestyle, and their information will help researchers understand how these triggers might contribute to strokes. This knowledge could lead to better prevention strategies in the future.
