ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying two different methods of providing pain relief for patients undergoing abdominal plastic surgery. The researchers want to find out which method, called the retrolaminar block or the transversus abdominis plane block, works better to reduce pain after the surgery. Both techniques involve injecting medication near specific nerves to help manage pain, but they are done in slightly different ways.
To participate in this trial, you need to be between 18 and 65 years old and in good physical health (ASA physical status 1, 2, or 3). Unfortunately, some people won't be eligible, such as those who have chronic pain issues, are unable to communicate their pain, or have certain health conditions. If you decide to join the trial, you can expect to receive one of the two pain relief methods after your surgery, and the researchers will monitor your pain levels to see which approach is more effective. Your safety and comfort are very important, and the study will follow strict guidelines to ensure that.
