ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how a specific exercise program for breathing muscles might help older adults. The study aims to understand if making the diaphragm (the main muscle used for breathing) tired can improve strength in other muscles, how well people can exercise, and how much oxygen their muscles are getting. Researchers will divide participants into three groups: one group will follow the breathing exercise program, another group will do different activities, and the last group will not do any special exercises. They will measure things like how strong the breathing muscles are, how much oxygen the muscles receive, and overall physical ability.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be over 60 years old and able to walk and move around independently. However, people with certain health issues, such as heart or lung problems, or those who have had recent surgeries, will not be included. This study is not yet recruiting participants, but it aims to gather important information that could help improve physical health and fitness in older adults.
