ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying how an online program called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help cancer patients find meaning in their lives after undergoing a type of treatment known as hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). The goal is to see if this program can reduce feelings of distress by helping patients focus on their personal values and live in the moment. In total, 192 patients who have recently had HCT will be randomly divided into two groups: one will participate in the ACT program, and the other will attend an educational session. Both groups will participate in a 14-day training that takes about 5-10 minutes each day, with researchers measuring their progress at various times before and after the intervention.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be at least 18 years old, have had their first HCT due to certain types of cancer, and be able to read and write in Polish. They also need to have daily access to the Internet. Participants will not be able to join if they have certain psychiatric disorders, are currently in therapy, or cannot use a computer or mobile device. If you or a loved one meet these criteria, this trial could provide a unique opportunity to explore how online support can enhance emotional well-being during recovery.
