ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying whether chewing mint-flavored gum can help reduce the nausea and vomiting often experienced by pregnant women with a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum (HG). In this study, one group of participants will receive the usual treatment for HG along with the mint gum, while another group will only receive the standard treatment. The researchers want to see if the gum can also help with stress and anxiety related to this condition.
To join the trial, participants must be pregnant women aged 18 and older, married, and diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum before reaching 16 weeks of pregnancy. Unfortunately, women with certain health issues or allergies to mint cannot take part. If eligible, participants will receive guidance on the study and be monitored throughout to see how the mint gum affects their symptoms and overall well-being. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to provide valuable insights into managing HG symptoms.
