ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking to understand how common chronic kidney disease (CKD) is in patients who have chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and are in remission. The researchers want to learn more about the characteristics of CKD in these patients and how it affects their health outcomes. This study is not yet recruiting participants, and it will involve adults aged 65 to 74 years, as well as younger patients up to 39 years old, regardless of gender.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must have been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia through a biopsy and a complete blood count test. However, patients who already had chronic kidney disease before being diagnosed with CML, those with diabetes, or those who have imaging results suggesting other causes of kidney problems (like kidney stones or infections) will not be included. If you decide to participate, you can expect to help researchers gather important information that could improve understanding and treatment of kidney issues in those with CML.
