ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is looking at how effective new treatments are for a condition called thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm (TAAA), which is a bulging or ballooning in a large blood vessel in the chest and abdomen. The trial will specifically evaluate two types of devices, known as FEVAR and BEVAR, that are becoming popular for treating this condition because they are easier to use and can help a wider range of patients.
To be eligible for this trial, participants must be adults aged 65 to 74 who have a TAAA that is larger than 5.5 centimeters. Unfortunately, those with active infections, smaller aneurysms, or allergies to certain contrast agents will not be able to participate. Although the trial has not started recruiting participants yet, those who join can expect to receive one of the new treatment options and be closely monitored throughout the study to see how well it works for their condition.
