ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is studying a new approach to help manage dental pain after surgery, specifically after the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. Researchers are looking at whether combining Ibuprofen, a common pain reliever, with curcumin (a substance found in turmeric known for its healing properties) and liquorice root can provide better pain relief than Ibuprofen alone. The trial will involve adults aged 18 to 85 who are having 2 to 4 wisdom teeth removed. Participants will be divided into groups to receive different combinations of these treatments, while some will receive a placebo (a sugar pill with no active ingredients) for comparison.
If you or a family member are considering participating, you should know that you cannot be pregnant, breastfeeding, or allergic to any of the study components. Over the course of the trial, participants will track their pain levels and any side effects they may experience. The study aims to enroll about 264 people to ensure enough data is collected to understand how effective this combination therapy is in relieving pain. This trial is still in the planning stages and has not started recruiting participants yet.
