ClinConnect Summary
This clinical trial is investigating the best ways to use imaging technology for diagnosing acute ischemic stroke, which is a type of brain injury caused by blocked blood flow. The goal is to see how effective different imaging strategies are in helping doctors make quick and informed treatment decisions. Patients who arrive at the Emergency Department with symptoms of a stroke may be eligible to participate if they are 18 years or older and were last known to be well within the past 24 hours.
If you or a loved one are eligible and choose to join the study, you will be assigned to one of the imaging methods being tested. The medical team will know which method is being used, as this will help them make the best treatment choices. However, the researchers will keep the data from the imaging results separate from the treatment decisions to ensure fairness in the study. This trial is currently recruiting participants, and it aims to gather important information that could improve future stroke care.
